Celebrate your wins…

As a self-employed yoga teacher running a small business, navigating the waves of uncertainty in our ever-shifting economy takes more than just resilience — it takes vision, adaptability, and a whole lot of heart.

Every year, I sit down to map out how I’ll make a living. I plan retreats, trainings, classes, and programs with the hope that the pieces will fall into place. (Spoiler alert: teaching weekly drop-ins at yoga studios alone isn’t enough to sustain a full-time teaching path.)

It’s easy to always be thinking about the next thing — the next offering, the next training, the next season. But recently, I was reminded of how important it is to pause and reflect on the journey so far. This year marks my 13th year teaching full-time. And I want to take a moment to honour that. Over the years, I’ve had the absolute privilege to:

✨ Train over 500 new yoga teachers
✨ Facilitate 15 200-hour Yoga Teacher Trainings
✨ Lead 8 Yin Yoga Teacher Trainings
✨ Co-found my own Yoga Teacher Training School: Sacred Space Yoga

✨ Start my own online-yoga studio platform during Covid that has now been running for 5 years and keeps growing
✨ Wrote my first book (more on this soon!)
✨ Travel to 28+ countries (many thanks to this wild, beautiful practice)
Moved to a new country to open a yoga resort (even though it didn’t work out — I learned so much in the process)
✨ And launching the 5th season of my independently run Outdoor Yoga Series here in Ottawa

This isn’t a brag — it is a celebration. A conscious pause. A moment to say: Hell yes- I’m proud of what I’ve built and accomplished.

And now, I want to invite you to do the same.

What have you created, committed to, healed from, grown into, or made space for? What are you proud of — big or small?

Because amidst all the planning and striving...You’ve already come so far.
